Out of the options given to us for our final project, I would enjoy doing a case study the most. After discussing with a few of my peers, it seemed that the case study within a group is what appealed to us most, especially because Tesla is one of the options. GenerallyI would say that I am a creative person, but with Tesla it seems that there are endless possibilities.
Tesla has one of the most interesting CEO’s, if not the most interesting in the world. From being disregarded by many, to rising up and challenging the whole automotive industry. Tesla has been able to come up with a cleaner, safer and better alternative to motorized vehicles which has seemed to have been a game changer. The automotive industry is an industry that is very difficult to get into and finding clientele is not much easier in such a highly compensated market. Therefore, how is it that Tesla is doing so great? This is thanks to the extraordinarily interesting mind of Elon Musk.
Our groups case study will focus on how Tesla came to be, where it originated from and what has Elon Musk done to give Tesla the ability to compete with other major powerhouses in the auto industry. We will also look into where Tesla was at before the involvement of Elon Musk as well as going through what changes were made through the years to allow for it to be so successful. Within our project we will include the challenges they had to overcome, the changes that were needed to be made and mistakes that setback their growth. We will also focus on how Tesla is so successful without having a single dealership, but rather operating through online orders and stores that can be found in popular malls or shopping centres.
